The Six Nations

The Six Nations takes place every year.
Every team in the Six Nations plays all the other teams only once, with home advantage changing over every year.

Two points are given for a win and one point for a draw.

If a team wins every game of the Tournament, it's a called a Grand Slam. England hold the record number of Grand Slams at 12.

A Triple Crown is when a home nation beats the other three home nations. Again, England hold the record of 23.

The Calcutta Cup is awarded to the winner of the match between England and Scotland.

The team that finished last out of the six is awarded the wooden spoon.
