With the help of the equally bitchy Sylvia, Alex unleashed a tirade of curse words onto her fellow housemates as the debate of who should cook escalated into a full-blown row.
She also regularly enjoyed rows with Mikey and Luke - the only two willing to stand up to her bad attitude.
Mikey once labelled chatterbox Sylvia "selfish" for nattering on into the early hours and was "not a happy bunny" after learning she had taken biscuits and hiding them in the closet of the luxury bedroom.
She also had a long-running feud with rival Mohamed. Feisty Sylvia once accused Mohamed of continually interrupting her and ordering her around - even claiming he had asked her to pretend they were lovers when they leave the house to help them win magazine deals.
But following Alex's departure, Sylvia showed us her, er, "sensitive" side. Following the arrival of Alex's replacement Stu, Sylvia was a girl in love.
She admitted she had a crush on the former personal trainer - despite the fact that she has a boyfriend of four years at home - and jumped into bed with him on his first night. But Stu had to let Sylvia down gently after two days of irrational bunny boiling behaviour.
She then set her sights on poor unsuspecting Dale, who is in love with pretty Jen.
Sylvia pulled so-called pal Jen aside and told her she fancied Dale, saying she thought he looked "hot" during the treadmill task.
And she didn't waste any time in flirting with Dale, linking arms with him and touching his chest.
However, Sylvia quickly realised her actions and feared she had been dumped by her boyfriend. She was often caught starring at photographs of her beau.
And she told Rebecca: "I'm not going to be stupid on TV and ruin my relationship." With love and anger aside, Sylvia also knew how to have some fun.
She first let her hair down at a riotous toga party. She was joined by Jennifer, Rex, Dennis, Dale and Rebecca to fashion togas out of bed sheets and laurel wreaths from leaves out of the garden.
Sylvia and Rebecca were even caught scouring the house for the perfect accessories to compliment their togas, before settling on belts and Grecian-style sandals.
Sylvia also showcased her talents in the house - she beat off stiff competition from a singing Dale and half-naked Mario to win the Big Brother Factor talent contest and she also excelled in the Treadmill task.
She joined Dale, Stuart and Rex to successfully perform a complex dance routine to OK Go's hit 2006 song Here It Goes Again - and helped win the house a luxury food budget.
But now that she has been thrown out of the house, Sylvia won't be there to stuff her face with giant cookies and lager!
