Croatia - Dado Prso
Although Dado Prso has been a late developer, he is now regarded as one of Europe's top strikers and will be looking to spearhead Croatia's challenge in Germany. The giant frontman, who plays in Scotland for Rangers, first really made his name at Monaco and was an integral part of the side that reached the final of the 2004 Champions League, knocking out both Real Madrid and Chelsea before being eventually defeated 3-0 by Porto.
Prso joined the principality club in 1996 but after a year in the reserves he joined Ajaccio on loan for two seasons, where impressed by scoring 21 times.
He rejoined Monaco in 1999 and scored the goal against Caen which clinched the Ligue 1 title that year but it was not until his fourth season that he became a first-team regular and made his impact on the European stage.
That earnt him a call-up to the Croatia national team and aged 28 he scored on his international debut in a 4-0 victory over Belgium in March 2003.
Despite his late emergence he is one of the first names on the teamsheet and a prolific first season in Scotland - he scored 21 times in just 44 games - inspired Rangers to an SPL title and CIS Cup double.
The 6ft 4in striker has a powerful frame and his rare combination of strength and pace makes him an imposing character, particularly given his composure.
