His name is Bond - James Bond, and you may have heard of him. The suave spy has been wowing fans in the movies for nearly 40 yrs. His game history, however, is shorter but equally impressive. Goldeneye was one of the finest games ever, and sold millions of N64's on its own. Sadly the developers of that game - Rare - have moved on to other things (Microsoft) but the Bond legacy lives on. The latest Bond game is called James Bond 007: NightFire and it is out on Xbox, PC, PS2 and Gamecube towards the end of November.
As you'd expect, this is a First Person Shooter but one with an all original story. As Bond, players will operate in the high altitudes Austrian Alps and a zero-gravity space station as well as underwater in the South Pacific in order to defeat the evil criminal mastermind Rafael Drake, who is bent on ruling the world.
Each of the 10+ exotic locations around the world and beyond in NightFire will contain a generous offering of challenging missions and objectives. Moreover, players will have the option to upgrade many of the numerous Q-lab gadgets. It's not all first person though - the action will switch to a third person perspective to show off dramatic interactive moments involving cars and women.
Furious action and stealth, gorgeous women, exotic locales, and sophisticated spy-craft gadgetry? What more could a Bond fan want?
