Liam felt guilty after his night with Carla, and when they got back to the factory, he sheepishly met with Maria. She wanted to register the baby's death, so he agreed. Later at the factory, Carla gave Liam a key to her flat. At the Battersbys', Fiz made a fuss over an unwell Chesney. She was convinced he was too poorly for school, but as she left the house, she bumped into Kirk and Julie. When the latter started worrying over her brother, it left her seeing red. Meanwhile, Gail telephoned Tina's mum, letting her know her daughter was okay. Eventually her lodger's furious mum, Anna, stomed round and demanded to know what Tina was playing at. Anna and Tina argued when the stern matriarch called David a criminal, and Tina told her mother about the baby. As things escalated out of control, Gail had to throw Anna out. At the Rovers, a pining Liz tried to keep busy, and Leanne started work.
NEIGHBOURS

Oliver asked Mia out, claiming there was a spark between them that should be investigated. However, she caught him going through her mobile phone for Marissa's number so he could investigate Marco further. Nevertheless, he somehow managed to win Mia over, until she did a runner, saying things were far too complicated for them to be together. Oliver attacked Carmella over her choice of Marco as godfather, but it was clear he was taking his bad mood about Mia out on her. He soon got over it by seducing Mia in a hotel room. Libby managed to talk some sense into Steph, and finally made her friend realise she did want to marry her fiance after all. Frazer took Toadie to the spot where Dee died, and the lawyer opened up about how he felt - not only about his dead wife, but about Steph too. Meanwhile, Steph drove to meet them to tell Toadie how much she wanted to marry him, but he still wasn't convinced, and told her he wanted to postpone the wedding.
HOME AND AWAY
Thursday 15/05/08
As the investigation into Sam's death got underway, it turned out that more than a few residents had something to hide. Rachel admitted getting a call from her and rushing off to meet her on the beach, only to find blood there. Fitz was keen to know why she waited until her return home before reporting what happened - and was even more interested to learn that Tony spoke with his son the same night - but was soon dragged away by news of a discovery: Sam had left a note in the glove box of a stolen car. Fitz was certain the death was suicide - despite her cynical colleague's suspicion of foul play. Unfortunately, Martha managed to step in and both her obvious worry for Jack and the scratches on her face were enough to put her in the spotlight. She admitted to Morag that Sam broke into their home to blackmail her and she was going to do the deal; $5,000 in exchange for incriminating evidence against Jack - but her rival never showed up. Then a phone call came in which put a real spanner in the works.
EMMERDALE
Thursday 15/05/08
The relationship between Laurel and Ashley took another rapid nosedive as while the vicar confronted Greg and Jake, certain they knew Mel's whereabouts, his wife was instead offering friendship to the Dolands. This division was to last when Ashley headed off to the paternity hearing alone, leaving Laurel and Greg to bond over pictures of baby Daniel. Things were strained when he returned home to find the pair together and the subsequent argument led to an exchange of harsh words and the revelation that Laurel had tried to kiss Greg shortly after Daniel died. An angry Ashley made his position clear; once Mel was found, he would fight for Arthur to come home with him - and Laurel best get her priorities sorted before that happened. Meanwhile, after the Hopes were released on bail, Bob began to question whether Viv knew more about the house and Freddie than she was letting on.
HOLLYOAKS
Thursday 15/05/08
After Jake refused to have anything to do with Warren and Darren's plan, it was up to Justin to convince his nemesis to take the blame to ensure Charlie would be well looked after. Justin managed to entice Jake by promising to back Frankie's application for custody of Charlie, but the troubled Dean only shook on the deal when a tearful Justin agreed to never see Charlie again. Unaware that Justin had just saved the day, Warren asked Darren to get Sean's wallet back from The Dog as he prepared to hand himself in. But, before he could make his way to the station, Jake confessed to the murder and the police discovered Sean's wallet in his belongings as they searched The Dog. Elsewhere, John Paul and Kieron took advantage of the rare luxury of having the McQueen house to themselves by enjoying a cosy snogathon on the couch, while Niall stepped up his efforts to woo a downbeat Steph when she agreed to let him practise on her for the hair stylist contest.
EASTENDERS
Thursday 15/05/08
Roxy put on her demurest white top, asked Christian to keep an eye on the Vic, and trundled off to make an appointment for an abortion, only to realise her heart wasn't in it. Her mate couldn't understand why she wanted to keep the baby, leading to a row that was overheard by Ronnie. Roxy confidently predicted her sister would be on her side, but after a long day of watching Jack flirt with other women, the club manager was feeling tetchy and agreed with Christian. Elsewhere, Shabnam discovered her mum had been hiding red bills and decided it was time she and Tamwar got jobs. However, Zainab wasn't impressed to find her son behind the counter at the chip shop and her daughter apparently practising her pole dancing at R&R. Heather tried to be the perfect housewife, but ended up going out and getting drunk with Shirley instead, and Whitney pulled out all the stops to get Wellard for Tiffany. Uncle Robbie would have been so proud.
