LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Keanu Reeves, star of "The Matrix" blockbuster action movies, grazed a photographer with his car while pulling out of a parking space in a southern California community, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place just before 7:30 p.m. on Monday evening in Rancho Palos Verdes, said a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy.
"(The photographer) was standing in the street in front of Mr. Reeves’ 1996 Porsche when he was grazed by the car," said Deputy Sheriff Oscar Butao.
Police are investigating the incident, Butao said.
The extent of the photographer’s injuries were unknown, Butao said. Reeves was not hurt.
Reeves, 42, is best known for his role as the hero, Neo, of "The Matrix" movies in which Earth has been overrun by machines and humans are trying to reclaim the planet.
