This unique and inspiring event has been specially commissioned to celebrate the Festival's 50th birthday and will serve to combine the artistic potential of the digital medium with the cultural heritage of our great city.
A Portrait of London will be conceived by some of the most celebrated British artists and filmmakers under the creative guidance of Mike Figgis (Leaving Las Vegas, One Night Stand and Timecode), and will be made up of a series of digital postcards that will serve both as a homage to the capital and its people but also as a wider reflection of the possibilities of filmmaking within London.
A Portrait of London will also be projected as a free event, open to all, against the backdrop of the historical London landmark that is Trafalgar Square. An outdoor live mix of moving images and sound, this is a not to be missed one-off experience - we look forward to seeing you there.
The Webcast took place on Friday the 27th of October
