Academy Awards Winners

The Winners of the 79th Academy Awards - The Oscars - have been announced.

Martin Scorsese's long wait to be honoured is over as The Departed won Best Director and Best Film. Helen Mirren also made it a clean sweep in the Awards Season for her as she picked up the Best Actress Oscar.
