UN CERTAIN REGARD

Un Certain Regard complements the Official Selection. Its aim is to bring filmmaking with a distinctive viewpoint to the attention of Cannes audiences.

The category caters to both the veteran director experimenting with a new style and for the newcomers with a different approach. This year, nine of the entries are by first time filmmakers.
