Critic's Week
Founded in 1962 by the Syndicat Français de la Critique du Cinéma, Critic's Week comprises the work of young director's.
This year, there are seven features and seven short films in the Critic's Week and 7 features and 3 short films in the special screenings section.
Director's Fortnight
Founded in 1968, the Director's Fortnight is the most forward thinking of the sections at Cannes.
This section was developed to make the Cannes festival more accesible to a less mainstream or established filmaker.
This year Tiscali are proud to be a sponsor of this event which opens with a screening of Sam Peckinpah's Ride the High Country
Out of Competition
The closing film is part of the Official Selection - Out of competition this year. CHROMOPHOBIA directed by Martha Fiennes will close the festival.
Also showing in Out Of Competition will be the first film of director Shane Black: KISS, KISS, BANG, BANG and the famous STAR WARS EPISODE III - REVENGE OF THE SITH directed by Georges Lucas.
