BAFTA Awards Winners

The Orange British Academy Film Awards

The winners for the Orange British Academy Film Awards have been announced.

The battle for the BAFTA awards - often seen as an indicator for the Oscars - has become a triumph for the Queen. It won the Best Film award as well as giving Helen Mirren the Best Actress statuette.

It proved to be a disappointing night for Bond though as Casino Royale picked up only one award despite being nominated for nine.
