The son of a Sheffield steel worker, Sean Bean was a renegade youth who dreamt only of playing for his beloved Sheffield United. Yet somehow he stumbled into acting, studied at RADA, found fame as TV's Sharpe, rose to Hollywood stardom as the evil opponent of the likes of Harrison Ford, Michael Douglas and James Bond, and then hit the heights as Boromir in The Fellowship Of The Ring.
