Born of renegade stock (her godfather is Timothy Leary), Winona Ryder was a precocious and talented youth, studying acting before she was in her teens and making her screen debut at 13. After starring in cult hits like Beetlejuice and Heathers, this well-read siren went on to feature in many literary adaptations, like Little Women, The Age Of Innocence (for both of which she was Oscar-nominated), The Crucible and The House Of The Spirits.
