Biography: All About Tim

Having been brought up amidst New York's folk revival in the Sixties, Tim Robbins naturally became highly creative and heavily politicised. Having formed LA's long-running avant garde theatre troupe The Actors' Gang, he moved into movies, starring in such hits as Bull Durham, The Player and The Shawshank Redemption while also directing the well-received likes of Bob Roberts and Dead Man Walking. Along with his partner Susan Sarandon, he is one of the most challenging and controversial figures in cinema today. The list below reveals all.
