Like Colin Farrell a veteran of Dublin's Gaiety acting college, Stuart Townsend rose to prominence as the vicious leader of the Shankhill Butchers in Resurrection Man. Instead of aiming at Hollywood, though, he kept to a more artistic path, learning the craft from the likes of Stockard Channing, Dennis Hopper and Daniel Auteuil. Famously booted off The Fellowship Of The Ring, he soon became a star as the vampire Lestat in The Queen Of The Damned. The list below follows his bumpy ride upwards.
