Biography: All About Sean

With his father being actor, writer and director Leo Penn and his mother actress Eileen Ryan, it seemed only natural that Sean Penn should take to cinema, and this he did at an early age in a string of Brat Pack movies. But Sean wanted more and, after battling with the paparazzi for years over his marriage to Madonna, eventually became recognised as a top-notch thespian, having starred in the brilliant likes of At Close Range, State Of Grace, Carlito's Way and Dead Man Walking, while directing such cult gems as The Pledge and The Crossing Guard.
