Entertainment Competition

Eragon is the tale of a young man whose destiny is revealed when he learns he is one of an elite troop of Dragon Riders. Eragon is swept into an extraordinary world of magic and mystery, discovering that he, and his dragon, can save - or destroy - an Empire.

The stellar cast includes Jeremy Irons (Kingdom of Heaven, Reversal of Fortune), Robert Carlyle (The Full Monty ) John Malkovich (In The Line of Fire, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) Sienna Guillory (Love Actually and TV's Helen of Troy),and Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator, In America). There is strong support from British actress Tamsin Egerton (Keeping Mum, Driving Lessons) and singer Joss Stone (appearing in her first film).

Eragon is the directorial debut of Stefan Fangmeier (the visual effects genius behind such films as Saving Private Ryan, Twister, The Perfect Storm, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World). Fangmeier is a three-time BAFTA Award winner and has been nominated for four Oscars.

Twentieth Century Fox release Eragon worldwide on December 15th 2006 and to celebrate we are giving away a fantastic cycling holiday for two. The trip includes flight and cycle hire and is a very diversified tour with the opportunity to visit three countries - Austria, Slovakia and Hungary - the location of the film - and the three capital cities - Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest. Following the Danube cycle path you will visit Bratislava and then on into Hungary where the highlights include Gyor, an important city of the Hungarian lowlands with a glamorous, historic centre; Tata with its lakes, located at the foot of the hill range Gerecse; Esztergom, also called the Hungarian Rome; and of course the magnificent Budapest which has managed to maintain its magic and charm, and is rightly known as the Queen of the Danube.
