I have a girlfriend, but I'm not sure I love her anymore. we've been going out for a year, our relationship just doesn't feel special and I want to move on. But she's really nice and I don't want to hurt her feelings.

Do you honestly think it's fair not to tell her? That realy isn't an option, You have to be honest with her you can't stay with people because they are 'nice'.
It is never easy to tell people the truth and if you continue the relationship then your waisting her time, you both can meet someone else

Try to be as nice as possible, but you are going to have to be up front with her. Don't tell any of your friends that know her about it though, even if you need someone to talk to, because if she thinks they knew before she did it will hurt even worse. Get it over and done with as soon as possible, don;t leave it hanging on cos sooner or later she will notice that you're not being the same around her as you used to, if she hasn't already. If you can't talk to her face to face try writing her a letter, she can re-read it and you can get your point across more clearly. Both you and her deserve to be with someone who you love better. Good luck

There is no point in staying with someone just because you think it'll hurt her to break up. If you don't have feelings for her, move on and let her find someone who will give her the love she can't get from you.
