Why won't you ask him? What do you have to lose? If he's shy as well you might well miss a good opportunity, and that would be a shame. You could just contact him and ask for another date, nothing too heavy just ask him if he'd like to go out for a drink somewhere and see where the evening takes you. He clearly likes you and may ask you himself! You never know unless you try. Or if you're scared, you could get a mutual friend to just bring you up in conversation and see what he has to say about you so you'll already know the answer...good luck!
