After disastrous local and European elections, a difficult cabinet reshuffle, an increasing lack of support from backbenchers and as the fallout over MP's expenses continues to loom over Westminister, Can Gordon Brown lead the Labour party through the storm and restore public confidence in Government?

Wake up to reality. When Labour got into power in 1997 Gordon Brown, as Chancellor, promised two things.
1. I will not allow house prices to get out of control.
He was in a position to ensure that this would not happen but he sat back and did nothing.
2. There will be no more TORY boom and bust.
Because he allowed the Banks and Building Societies to loan out more money than the prospective house buyers could afford, the price of buying a house got out of control.
HE SAT BACK AND LET IT HAPPEN. Just because BUSH allowed it to happen in the US it must be a good idea.(Like going to war in Iraq) The meltdown started in the US (the largest economy in the World) then hit us hard. We could have sold some of our vast reserves of GOLD which was at its highest value EVER, but Gordon had already sold half of it when ir was, well, half the price so now we have to borrow hundreds of billions to prop up the Banks and the Economy which are one and the same. Us at the bottom of the heap can sing for our supper as far as Brown, Darling and of course, twice disgraced and removed from office, Trade Tsar Mandleson
(wonder what hold he has over Blair and Brown)
Thats enough for now.

The finacial problems that we have are worldwide get real are Brown and New Labour responsible for that. Cameron is a chancer latching onto anything that looks likely to get him in the media, where are his policies? He hasnt got any they are as rare as rocking horse sh!

Yes he can survive as leader during cabinet reshuffle and poor election results announced today because he is a decent man and decent people will support him. The M.P.s who are jumping ship at the moment are selfish egomaniacs interested in their own careers as opposed to the wellbeing of Labour voters. They are jumping before they are pushed over their wreckless expense claims. Calculating M.P.s will jump ship before being voted out to save face. They also scapegoat the leader when things don't go their way. Good riddance to the M.P.s who have left and hello to those who are supporting Gordon in his attempt to restructure Parliament and the economy.

'Gordon McRuin is head & shoulders above...!' Yes, very true. But this does not say much for the rest of Gordo's Cabinet Colleagues, mediocrities one and all. Mr Brown should have remained as a constituency MP. He should never have been promoted to Cabinet rank.
Mr Brown, has been incompetent in both roles as Chancellor and Prime Mentalist. As Chancellor, appears to have no idea about 'Economic Cycles' of Boom and Bust every 15 to 17 years. Look at the past economic history of the UK. This is not science, but there seems to be some corelation re: the 15 year cycles.
Even if Brown survives any leadership challenge in the coming weeks, he will still be seen as possibly the worst PM ever since WW2. This New Labour Government will certainly be seen as the worst Labour administration, and are likely to be cnsigned to the back benches of opposition like they were after the Callaghan Labour government.
If Mcruin remains as 'dear Leader' until May-June 2010. He might be tempted to engineer a 'National Emergency' using the Civil Contigencies Act 2004 to abolish future ellections, Parliament and civil liberties. this a real possibility, becasue all this legislation is already on teh Statute Books - and who put it there. Why Nues Liarbore ZaNuLab Partie. Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?

OK you go to the posh private schools and universities you are taught about "THE OTHER" people in this world and how they are not quite the same as you..You learn how to manipulate the "others" INTO BELIEVING what you were being taught all those years really works!!!.So what really is an MP?...In short a well educated very smart con-person.In truth an MP is not interested in welfare of "the others" otherwise they woudnt be damanding the high salaries they would be content with doing the job for a reasonably average wage...then there's the scam the system formula..get as much as you can whilst the going is still good..2 properties..expenses to go with it..council tax dodges etc..on the flip side they bleet on about how the unemployed who live on monkey nuts are costing the taxpayer millions in false claims and scams..My point being why do we have to have these people in government when there are lots of "other" normal honest people who could do the same job as GB and all the other MP'S with genuine incentives for things like the NHS to work etc without demanding they have a luxury lifestyle to go with the job title.Anyway it doesnt really matter even if they all got the boot tomorrow it isnt as though they will be joining the dole que's MP's have already amassed more money and assets through scaming the system..Remember it is for the smart well educated ones to take advantage of the loopholes in a any system and when i runs dry bring it to attention that this system is flawed introduce a new system...voila more loop holes to exploit!!!..GB has the same incentives as all the other government members for staying in his job..

So why is Gordon Brown the best man to get us out of the mess he had a part in getting us into? Why do people believe he alone has the experience to put things right and nobody else does? He doesn't even come close to being Superman. There are pleanty of compentant people who can do what Brown only thinks he can do. If he is the only man who has the power to do it, why doesn't he get on and sort out the mess instead of p****** around. And don't tell me he hasn't been aloud to. He's in charge for goodness sake. He hasn't bothered about the people's portfolio - or lack or it, up til now. If he's that good, why does he look like a man who only has hours to live? Beats me.
