I was in bed watching tv when suddenly I heard a loud rumbling noise and the bed started to shake and jump around the room. It was bizarre I could only think that it was a poltergeist! went online and eventually discovered it was an earthquake. Thank heaven!!!!

My husband actually woke me, but because we live on a road where big lorries pass, they tend to shack the house, so we thought it was that! When we realised it wasn't that we could see the whole room moving! We crapped ourselves to say the least! lol
I was 2 seconds away from gettin the kids out of the house coz i thought the place was about to come, down when it stopped! We rang friends and they said the same had happened to them.

I live in Barton upon Humber, not too far from the epicentre of the quake. I was in my bedroom on the internet, at about one o`clock in the morning I heard a loud rumble, first I thought it was someone banging hard at the front door. But when I stood up to go investigate I realised that it wasn`t the front door that was making a noise, it was the wardrobe doors, the bedroom door and anything else not fastened down. My first thought were that a plane had come down close by, I looked out of the front and back bedroom windows but could see no smoke or fire, next I thought it could have been the Oil Refineries at Killingholme gone up. Luckily it was just an earth quake and not many people were hurt. Sure as ****** made me jump though, lol...
