Scientists have managed to create the first part-human, part-animal embryo by inserting human skin cells into the egg cells from a cow, bringing the egg to life. These types of embryos will eventually be used to investigate and treat diseases. Although the embryos contain some cow DNA, they look and behave like human embryos. Are these experiments the way forward or do you think it's too much like the work of Frankenstein and totally immoral?

(It is similar to allowing genetically-modified crops to be grown without restriction, as the government has done with the Monsanto corporation. Dangers already identified, such as killing of some insect species, possible damage to other animals and contamination of other crops will be irreversible.)
Once human and animal genes can be legally combined, the moral limit will be pushed until there are obscene monstrosities, and many half-creatures will be destroyed along the way. If you do not believe this, check what horrors are already being done to animals by scientists under supposedly-strict laws controlling vivisection. Many animals suffered and died before clones were successfully produced (and even they had health problems). The creation of animals with human factors is already being planned. If “science” deems it useful or big money can be made, it will happen.
There could come a time when a creature is neither human nor animal. Could it/he/she be used and abused like an animal or would human rights be applicable?
