In a nutshell
One of her plus points is her willingness to admit to the hard times in her life. Unlike most celebs she doesn't try to hide things away. Quite the opposite, in fact, and she's discussed at length her drug use during her twenties. Luckily she managed to get through relatively unscathed, starting her career as a presenter on MTV.
As we're sure most presenters on MTV do, she hoped it would one day lead her to bigger things. And boy it did. Before Big Brother came along, our favourite Davina show has to be Streetmate. An absolute classic.
The format was simple - Davina ran along the street like a madwoman after potential dates for the contestant. When one finally gave up all hope and agreed, she'd squeal loudly and send them off to have dinner. Genius!
Davina is married to a former TV presenter, Matthew Robertson. He used to present a sweet little show called Pet Rescue (yeah, we used to watch it too) and the pair met whilst walking their respective doggies in the park. Now that's love...
She's been all over our screens in the last few years, fronting shows like the Brits, Sport Relief, Comic Relief, He's Having a Baby and, dare we say it, her Wednesday night chat show ('Davina') on BBC One. Panned by the critics and watched by fewer people normally present in the Big Brother house, it was quietly dropped after one series.
