In a nutshell
Making his television debut in 1983, after spending time training at the Everyman's Youth Theatre in Liverpool.
We're not totally sure what this means but it certainly sounds impressive; David studied at RADA, which after a bit of checking we found out stands for The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
You'll probably have seen him in some of the best shows of recent years, including Clocking Off, State of Play, Blackpool, Doctor Who and The Knock.
